About Me

Thanks to my machinist father, I developed an appreciation for mechanical things and shop environments at a very young age. This led me to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. I then explored the aerospace, automotive aftermarket, and concept car industries before doing product development at Mazda R&D for almost 9 years.

As a result of building my own 911, I left to pursue a dream of working on air-cooled Porsches at Singer Vehicle Design.

Currently I am at a Gunther Werks trying to be a part of the latest chapter in the modern history of the classic 911.

In my spare time I wrench on my own 911 (the star of this blog), develop my own parts for it, and share my knowledge with the air-cooled Porsche community.

I also enjoy introducing my two daughters to as much Southern California car culture as I can.

When not doing any of the above, you can find me heading to the local mountains in either hiking boots or trail running shoes.

I am a hands-on, lifelong student and keep a steady supply of books on topics I want to learn about ranging from engineering design, fabrication, tuning, sports-purpose driving, and everything in between. My philosophy is to never stop learning or setting automotive goals.

If you have the same interests as I do, shoot me a note!
